Sevierville’s Winterfest Kick Off Music, Lights & Magic:  Free food, local entertainment, kids’ games and fireworks make “flipping the switch” on the area’s finest Winterfest lights even more fun! Kickoff takes place at the Sevierville Community Center just off Dolly Parton Parkway. Admission is free and includes live entertainment, food and fun!

Veterans Day Celebration: Walk to Ripley’s Aquarium from Mountain House Motor Inn to join the grand salute to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces. Ceremony takes place Ripley’s Plaza at 11 a.m. and includes notable speakers, recognition of all Veterans in attendance and music. Admission is free.

Pigeon Forge Winterfest Kick-off and 4th Annual Veteran’s Parade: Parade begins at Jehu Street / Pigeon Forge Parkway at 4:30 p.m. and continues to traffic light #7 / Patriot Park. Festivities including food, holiday music and lights immediately follow. www.mypigeonforge.com/winterfest.

Gatlinburg Winter Magic Kickoff and Chili Cookoff: Gather for live entertainment and lots of chili on the downtown strip from 5 to 8 p.m. Purchase a spoon for $10 to sample chili from local restaurants and businesses and vote for your winner. Lights come on at 8!

Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights: Enjoy a guided trolley tour of spectacular Gatlinburg Winter Magic lighting displays. Departure is from the Ripley’s Aquarium Trolley Station. Group reservations are available. Trolley leaves at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. Tickets can be purchased online from eventsgatlinburg.com. Excludes December 5, 24, 25.
