Mountain House Inn – Gatlinburg Hotel

Let us save you the trouble of checking us out on TripAdvisor.   We think our wonderful guests say it best why you should choose Mountain House Inn for your next Gatlinburg vacation stay, so we sprinkled real reviews throughout our web site for you to enjoy.

Childhood memories of family vacations, a slower time, and good old-fashioned fun are a precious thing; probably why so many of us get nostalgic about our own experiences and are anxious to create the same good feelings for our children. But it is getting harder and harder to do in this fast paced, blinged-out, go-go-go world.  And that is where Gatlinburg’s Mountain House Inn comes in.  Our Inn does not recreate the vacation destination Gatlinburg used to represent; no, it continues the tradition.

Built in 1982, our 57-room Mountain House Inn comes with a family history and ties to Gatlinburg going back almost 100 years.  Our family-owned American business is driven to give each guest the same great mountain vacation experience as our grandfather Andrew Huff did when he built the very first hotel in Gatlinburg in 1916.  This is why we are the perfect choice for family vacations, reunions, weddings, and small group gathering.

“We stayed on September 6, 2013. The room was very clean, staff was friendly, great location, only 1 block from the strip. Would definitely stay there again!! We stayed in room 211, it had recently been remodeled. Great price. This place just can’t be beat.  Sept. 2013″

Close to the city, but country peaceful, our family-friendly Mountain Home Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to many of the fine craft shops, restaurants, and popular Gatlinburg attractions that line the streets of Gatlinburg, such as Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.  And if you don’t feel like walking, there is a convenient trolley stop right across the street!  We are also close to the adventures to be found in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park like hiking, wildlife viewing, white water rafting, zip lining and horseback riding.

“I am writing this review completely based on our experience, no influence from other reviews. The location is excellent for those who want to experience the shops, attractions and restaurants in downtown Gatlinburg. The hotel is about 1.5 blocks from the main strip – Ripley’s Aquarium is right across the street once you get the Parkway.    August 2013″

Just because Mountain Home Inn retains the good, old-fashioned appeal of value and service and projects the “feel” of the 1950′s, be assured we also understand the demands of a family vacation in the 21st century!  We offer spacious comfort that will fit your hotel travel budget, and our property and room amenities are top-notch!

The great thing about good memories is you can’t have too many.  Mountain House Inn’s recently remodeled accommodations will provide your family or group with the perfect Smoky Mountain get away.  How do we know?  Because we measure our success by the number of returning guests – and that’s a lot of folks now.   We know you will come back again and again to visit us once you give Mountain House Inn the opportunity to become your Gatlinburg vacation headquarters.

“I was most impressed with the fact that we were not expected to settle our account until checkout!! Now that is something that is unheard of today and once again it reminded me of my childhood.  We will be staying at Mountain House Inn for many years to come!  July 2013″
